Parallel Cubicle System Specifications

Office Panels

  • Monolithic Panels are available in Raceway and Non-Raceway versions.
  • Monolithic Raceway Panels are available in seven standard widths (24" to 60" in 6" increments) and eight standard heights (36" to 78" in 6" increments). Non-Raceway panels are offered in 6" height increments ranging from 42" to 72".
  • Segmented panels are available in raceway version only and in 5 standard widths (24" – 48" in 6" increments) and in heights of 42", 54", 66", & 78"
  • Panels slotting in one-inch vertical increments.
  • Panels and panel-mounted Worksurfaces are aesthetically, dimensionally and functionally compatible with Maxon SERIES 1000 and SERIES 2000 products.
  • Bottom hinged base metal raceway covers pivot open and securely shut when closed.
  • Segmented panels feature integrated midrail to hang accessories

Panel System Finish Options

  • Finish options included fabric, high pressure laminate, glass, and whiteboard
  • Glass panels ship with glass installed. Glass is triple strength 3/16" thick tempered glass.

Office Panel Construction and Installation

  • Parallel has a n "I beam" extrusion that connects at panel-to-panel and panel-to-posts connections.
  • Metal components are finished in baked-on powder coat epoxy. Virtually all trim is painted metal.
  • Tackable Fabric panels are 2" thick with an MDF core septum covered by a sheet of fiberglass on each side and wrapped in fabric.
  • Panel frame is extruded aluminum with top cap and no additional parts needed to complete the installation.
  • Parallel has a universal post that can be utilized as a 2-Way, 3-Way or 4-Way connection without taking panels down. Every change of direction adds 2" to the panel run.

Panel System Power & Communication

  • Parallel offers a state of the art electrical system to manage diverse electrical requirements and planning flexibility. 8-Wire/ 4-Circuit electrical system can provide (3 Utility + 1 Isolated) or (2 Utility + 2 Isolated) configurations.
  • Power and data can be accessed at desk-height through the use of either the desk-height panel or worksurface mounted electrical receptacles.
  • Raceways accommodate up to 32 each Cat. 5E or Cat. 6 cables with power components in place.
  • All panels 30" or wider will accommodate up to four base line duplexes per panel (2 duplexes per side).
  • 24"W base panels will accommodate up to two base line duplexes (1 duplex per side).
  • 30" and wider base panels have dedicated data port knockouts. All duplex knockouts can be used for data if not used for power duplex.

Worksurfaces & Supports

  • Worksurfaces come standard with wire management scallops and are interchangeable with all other Maxon Furniture panel systems.
  • Maxon offers more than 600 different shapes and sizes.
  • Worksurfaces are available in , T-mold, 3mm Edge, and 3mm Wood Edge treatments and are 3mm thick
  • All Worksurfaces tops are finished with a high pressure, scratch resistant Wilsonart laminate
  • All 3mm and T-Mold Worksurfaces include a .025" high pressure laminate backer (without color) to seal each surface and prevent warping.
  • All Worksurfaces can be hung on panels in 1" vertical increments. Wall hung supports are available.
  • Other support options include end panel legs, C-Legs, floor pedestals and lateral files.

Office Panel Mounted Overhead Storage

  • All steel overhead storage is made of 14-gauge steel end panels, and 16-gauge steel shelves and lids.
  • All overhead doors have hinged ball bearing steel slide mechanisms that flip the door up and over the unit when in the open position.
  • Overhead doors are available in painted epoxy, perforated metal, radius, and fabric options and are available with soft close hinges. Locks come standard and have keyed alike option.
  • All storage shelves have a back flange to protect the panel fabric.
  • All storage shelves have anti-dislodgment feature.
  • Overhead cabinets and shelves have an interior storage size of 12"H x 14"D.
  • All overhead storage is hung on panels in 1" vertical increments. Wall mounted shelves are available upon request.
  • Task Lighting fits under storage units with cord covers available.

Performance and Approvals

  • Product line meets or exceeds all ANSI/ BIFMA standards.
  • All electrical system components are UL listed (File 113033)
  • All fabric surfaced acoustical base panels have a NRC rating of .35 and an STC Rating of 25.
  • Written Limited Lifetime Warranty.
