• Monolithic Fabric Panels are available in six standard widths (18" to 48" in 6" increments) and 8 standard heights (30", 42" to 78" in 6" increments).
• Partial Glass Panels are available in five standard widths (24" to 48" in 6" increments) and 8 standard heights (30", 42" to 78" in 6" increments).
• Open Bottom, Panel Kits, and Panel Frames are available in five standard widths (24" to 48" in 6" increments) and four standard heights (42" to 78" in 12" increments).
• Floor-to-Ceiling Panels are available in five standard widths (24" to 48" in 6" increments) and are 78" H. Floor-to-Ceiling Header Tiles are available in the same widths and in every inch increment from 12" to 54"H for ceiling heights from 90" to 132".

Office Panel Construction

• All metal parts are suitably protected from corrosion by painting or plating, or are inherently corrosion resistant.
• Panel Frames - Consists of two vertical .045" minimum wall aluminum "box" extrusions screwed to two horizontal 16 gauge steel channels. The vertical extrusions have outer slots spaced 1" apart to accept hanging worksurfaces or overheads, and two sets of interior slots spaced 1" apart to accept Segments. Vertical extrusions have an integrated full-height connector and light barrier. The horizontal channels contain cut-outs for vertical cabling of power or data. Alignment blocks and notches are added to the vertical extrusions to ensure panel alignment.
• Base Posts - Two on each panel, each is a double-box 0.125" wall aluminum extrusion with a threaded insert for one leveler. These are mechanically attached to the bottom channel of the panel frame.
• Levelers - (Also known as glides) Have a 1-3/8" diameter plastic base, 5/16"-18 threaded stud with 1/2" hex head, and screw into each base post to provide 2" of height adjustment.
• Raceway Bottom and Covers - Provides protection and access to internal wiring at the base of the panel. Made from formed and welded 20 gauge sheet steel, the covers hinge at the bottom and securely snap in place at the top. Covers are about 4-1/8" tall. Data/Power knockouts are 1.379" tall x 2.699" wide. 18" covers have no knockouts, 24" covers have 1 (power), 30" have 2 (power), 36" have 3 (2 power, 1 data), 42" and longer have 4 (2 power, 2 data). Any knockout not used for power (no EH duplex power harness in panel) may also be used for data ports. The Raceway Tray Bottom is a full-width aluminum extrusion.
• Topcaps - All panels except Floor-to-Ceiling ship with a painted aluminum top cap that can be removed for the lay-in installation of power or data cables. Radius topcaps have a black plastic endcap on each end.
• Fabric Skins/Segments: 24 gauge steel vertical frame with 18 gauge steel horizontal hanging bars provide crisp edges with MDF and 1/4" fiberglass covered by fabric. Class A or 1 flammability rating.
• Partial Glass Panel: Consists of one sheet of 3/16" thick tempered glass (Frosted is 5/32" thick) held on all four sides by a screwed-together 3" x 3" open aluminum extrusion with a protective soft PVC liner. The Partial Glass assembly is built into the panel and is non-removable. Glass may be clear, bronze, glacier texture, or frosted texture. Lower section of panel is covered by standard removable fabric base segments.
• Open Bottom Panel: Consists of four screwed-together 3" x 3" open aluminum extrusions. The open bottom assembly is built into the panel and is non-removable. Upper section of panel is covered by standard removable fabric builder segments.
• Swinging Door Panel: Full aluminum frame with adjustable threshold. Laminated door is 1-3/4" thick, is pre-drilled for the handle (shipped in box with door), and is pre-hung. Must be specified LH or RH. Door opening is 30-3/8"W x 76-3/8"H.
• Sliding Door: Full aluminum frame enclosing 3/16" frosted acrylic. Steel, aluminum, and plastic guide tracks, hidden casters on floor. Actual dimensions 66"H x 39"W x 2"D. Mounts to 36"W panel that is at least 60"H. Mounts to 24"W or 30"W panels with a separate mounting kit. Optional lock kit. Lock kit must be specified LH or RH.
• Identity Segment Logo: Up to 4 color logo applied to glass or laminate segment, or etched onto glass. Worksheet must be filled out and appropriate digital file must be sent in. Maximum logo size is 4" shorter than segment height, and 6" shorter than segment width.
• Laminate Segment: 1/4" thick MDF with laminate and backer, wrapped on all four sides with riveted 20gauge steel frame and held onto panel with spring clips. Frame is black only.
• Glass Segment: 20gauge steel frame with soft PVC liner holding 3/16" thick tempered glass (5/32" frosted). Built-in anti-dislodgment notches and added spring clips for attaching to panel. Segments for both sides of panel are included. Clear glass default, bronze, glacier or frosted optional.
• Accessory Segment: 14 gauge steel formed face with built-in anti-dislodgement and added spring clips. Will only accept the Accessories for Empower Accessory Segment.
• Open Segment: 20 gauge steel frame, spring clips attach segment to panel. Segments for both sides of panel are included.
• Perforated Metal Segment: A decorative metal face formed of 20 gauge steel that is perforated with 1/16" round holes on staggered on 1/16" x 3/32" centers. Reinforced by an open segment frame.
• Technology Segment: Fabric Segment with cutouts for duplex outlets and data ports. 24"W has single power and single data cutout, 30" and wider have 2 power and 2 data cutouts. Need to specify Technology Segment Power Kit if adding desk-height power.
• Fabrics - Only pre-approved or stock fabrics are available. Stock fabrics are polyester or a polyester blend that have a Class 1 or A (ASTM E-84) flammability rating. Terratex® fabrics are 100% recycled material.
• Fabric Retention - Fabric is stapled to the segment/skin on the backside.
• All Empower panel fabric surfaces are removable without tools and re-install securely back in place.
• Panels are 3" thick, and have horizontal and vertical interior passages for cable management.
• All Empower trim, top caps, raceway covers and finish parts are made of metal. There is no external plastic trim on Empower panels.

Panel System Accessories

• Wall Connector – Interior aluminum channel assembly and exterior 16gauge steel channel with steel topcap, intended for connecting panels to a permanent wall. Adds 2" to 2-3/4" to panel width. Adjusts to aid in maintaining a level panel run when walls and floors are not square.
• Connector Posts / Hi-Lo - Full height aluminum extruded connection post with cover (90 and 3-way) and topcap. Two-way 90degree "L", three-way 90degree "T", 4-way 90degree "X", and 3-way 120degree "Y" connection posts available, as well as an end-of-run cover. Use 3-way "T" and end-of-run cover for straight 180degree posts, and use 3-way 120degree "Y" with end-of-run cover for 2-way 120degree connections.
• Power Poles – 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" open aluminum extrusion with aluminum cover, pre-cut panel topcap, and ceiling trim. Holds 28 CAT5E or CAT6 cable, or 20 when used in conjunction with a power feed.
• Privacy Screens – 3/16" thick frosted acrylic held by 2 aluminum and steel clamps and built onto a radius topcap. Screen height is 12" above panel but has 1" reveal between acrylic and topcap. Screen width is 1" less than panel width.
• Every connector post adds 3" to the panel run.

Panel System Finish Options

• Large selection of fabrics from popular mills including Guilford of Maine, and Victor.
• Laminate segments are available in most of the Wilsonart Contract laminates.
• 5 core paint finishes and one premium paint finish in baked-on powder coat epoxy.
• All Glass is tempered and available in smooth 3/16" clear or bronze, in textured 3/16" glacier, or in textured 5/32" frosted.

Panel System Installation

• Panels and trim connect with a patented "Camlock" system to attach all panels and posts. Connections are metal-to-metal between panels and for trim. Engaugement over the length of the connection provides solid support.

Power and Communications System

• All electrical system components are UL listed (File E-113033).
• Empower offers a state of the art electrical system to manage diverse electrical requirements and planning flexibility. Our 8-Wire/ 4-Circuit electrical system can provide a (3 Utility + 1 Isolated) or (2 Utility + 2 Isolated) configurations.
• All base panels include a 3"D x 3-1/8"H baseline raceway with covers for routing power, data and communications.
• All lay-in wire management capabilities at the base and top raceways.
• Base raceway and top channel accommodate up to 32 each Cat. 5E or Cat. 6 cables with power components in place.
• Panels 30" or wider will accommodate up to four base line duplex outlets per panel (2 duplexes per side).
• 24"W base panels will accommodate up to two base line duplex outlets (1 duplex per side).
• 30" and wider base panels have dedicated data port knockouts.
• For desk-height power specify any 42"H or greater removable fabric surfaced Technology Panel or beltline Technology Segment + Technology Segment Power Kit. Technology Power Kits are field-installed and are mounted on the inside of an Empower panel frame.

Worksurfaces & Supports

• Worksurfaces come standard with wire management scallops.
• Panels and panel-mounted worksurfaces are aesthetically, dimensionally and functionally compatible with Maxon SERIES 2000 and SERIES 1000 freestanding desk products.
• Worksurfaces, wing tables, and counter tops are available in three edge details, T-Band, 3MM solid and 3mm Wood look. We offer more than 600 different shapes and sizes.
• Worksurfaces are finished with a high pressure, scratch-resistant Wilsonart® laminate for durability.
• Worksurface cores are 1-1/8" thick particleboard and include a .025 high-pressure laminate backer (without color) to seal each surface and prevent warping.
• All mounting hardware is included with the Worksurface.
• All worksurfaces can be hung on panels in 1" vertical increments. Wall mounting supports are available.
• Worksurface support options include cantilevered brackets, end supports, C-Legs, floor pedestals and lateral files.

Office Panel Mounted Overhead Storage

• All overhead storage has 14 gauge steel end panels with anti-dislodgement teeth designed to hang from the slotted vertical panel frame. End panels measure 14-1/4"D and 14-5/8"H. 14 gauge steel wall mounted end panels are optional.
• Shelves, lids and back strips are formed from 16 gauge steel and are available in all standard panel widths. Shelves and lids pressure fit into the end panels without needing screws or other fasteners.
• Cabinets doors can either be a 20 gauge steel painted door, fabric covered 20 gauge steel door, perforated metal steel door, or extruded aluminum curved door. All doors come standard with a core removable lock and are secured to the cabinet top with ball bearing flip-up slides. Easy-down hinges with gas-assist cylinder to prevent door slamming are optional.
• Task lighting is available and includes one 24" cord carrier.

Pedestal, Lateral Files, & Storage

• Pedestals and lateral files are available in three drawer front options: Standard, Recessed and Integral pulls.
• All pedestals and lateral files are constructed of various 16 to 25 gauges of steel.
• Pedestals are available in Box/Box/File and File/File configurations in 20", 24" and 30" depths.
• Two, three, four, and five drawer lateral files are available in 30", 36" and 42" widths.
• All pedestals and laterals have Grade A suspensions. Box and file drawers have full suspensions.
• Locks are standard and can be keyed alike. Master keys are available.
• Lateral files have an "Interlock" mechanism that prevents users from opening two file drawers at the same time.
• Storage towers, personal storage centers, overfiles, and bookcases are available.

Performance and Approvals

• Product line meets or exceeds all ANSI/ BIFMA standards. Panels are UL Listed (Standard 1286 (File E-113033)).
• All Empower fabric panels and segments are Class A or 1 fire rated, in accordance with ASTM E-84. Empower laminate segments are Class C fire rated, in accordance with ASTM E-84.
• Empower fabric panel skins/segments have an NRC rating of 0.40 according to the ASTM Standard Test Method for Sound Absorption and Sound Absorption Coefficients by the Reverberation Room Method: ASTM C423-90a and ASTM E795-92.
• Empower fabric panel skins/segments have an STC classification of 24 according to the ASTM Standard Test Method for Laboratory Measurement of Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of Building Partitions and Standard Classification for Determination of Sound Transmission Class: ASTM E90-97 and ASTM E413-87.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty.
